| We're learning more about the young woman who's been charged with killing her elderly boyfriend. Police say after Maura Shea Perry killed Jimmy Cooper, she robbed him and took off in his car. We've now learned, she had a run in with police after the alleged murder. Deputies say Perry shot her 72-year-old boyfriend, Jimmy Cooper, in the head while he was sleeping then robbed his trailer in Peytona and took off in his car. Deputies found Cooper's body September 26th after concerned friends went to check on him. Police think he had been dead for at least 10 days. In the meantime, deputies say Perry pawned Cooper's stuff to fuel her drug addiction and was driving his car. She was pulled over and arrested while in that car in Kanawha County. Perry was booked for simple possession and for driving on a suspended license. That arrest happened on September 19th, a few days after police think Cooper was killed but before his body was found. Perry was released on a PR bond, and after getting out of jail, she posted on Facebook saying, "So I spent the night at South Central Jail last nite, yay had so much fun, not!" Perry was staying with her aunt's neighbor, Louie Nomar, when she was arrested. Nomar says he was just trying to help her out and give her a place to stay. He says he was shocked when Boone County Sheriff's Deputies showed up at his house in Winfield to arrest Perry. Nomar says Mara never acted like anything was out of the ordinary. | From: ViolentWomenAmongUs Views: 1 ![]() 0 ratings | |
