	Last Mayor of Linsday dies The man who guided the Town of Lindsay through the transition into the City of Kawartha Lakes has died. Art Truax lost his 10-year battle with cancer last night. Truax began public life as a secondary school principal and superintendent before beginning his life in municipal politics. He served as the last Mayor of the Town of Lindsay and the first Mayor of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday December 8 at 11 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church.
