The Letter

This is a very depressing song, but I do think it's one of my most well-written songs. The idea came to me when I thought to myself what I would say if I was ever killed in a mugging. This is simply the letter that I would write. This is NOT meant to be insensitive towards any victim of such situations, and I apologize if this song was offensive to anyone. That was not my intent. THE LETTER Verse 1 It's not your fault Don't blame yourself You're just a desperate soul in a lonely desert Searching for some help Lost and cold Loosing hold Of everything you knew and loved that voice Inside you told You that money could solve everything Things would go back to the way they used to be And you believed That the paper that was in my wallet Could fix what could never be forgotten Now you see The trickery This is what I'd say if I could write A letter to the one who killed me Verse 2 Now looking back On life's short track I know that it was just my time to go But how about you?
