Jenni Rivera: Two Cops Held Over Crash Loot Two policemen belonging to an elite force are arrested over claims items were stolen from the crash scene of the superstar singer. Two police officers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing items from the scene of the plane crash that killed singer Jenni Rivera. According to Mexican officials, the Nuevo Leon state government said authorities found images of the scene on the smartphone of one of the officers. The policeman, who is 23, is under investigation as officials try to determine how the Mexican media got photographs of the secured crash site. Images include scenes of the wreckage, body parts and personal documents. On Wednesday, a Mexican official said that the singer's small plane had plunged 28000ft. The jet descended near vertical, attaining speeds of over 600 mph before impact. Investigators have searched the homes of the officers who secured the crash site and found victims' possessions. Government officials said they arrested the policeman, along with the second officer, who is 24. According to the Associated Press, the officers are members of a new state police force meant to be more effective and less corrupt than its predecessors.
