Pregnant Mother Killed in Hit and Run baby SURVIVED but killer Still on the loose

Clues sought in hit-and-run death one year later. Pregnant woman's baby survived crash in San Marcos SAN MARCOS, Texas - Diann Sharnell Ford had just ended her shift at a San Marcos restaurant on the west access road of Interstate 35 around 11:05 pm on Oct. 25, 2011. Ford, 22 and pregnant at the time, was crossing the access road in front of the McDonald's restaurant in the 1100 block of Interstate 35 North when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle slowed down and then left the scene without stopping or attempting to help the woman. She was taken to University Medical Center at Brackenridge in Austin where she delivered a baby girl. Two days later, Ford died from from her injuries. "She was eight months pregnant when she was struck and killed by the driver who fled the scene." Sgt. Christopher Tureaud, a police investigator on the case. He is still looking for any clues that could him solve the case.
