Romney labeling Obama weak in 'Iraq War'

It's between incumbent Barack Obama or Republican Mitt Romney, the election is just four weeks away and suddenly back in campaign rhetoric is the war on Iraq. In the 2008 election the war was a major issue, but until recently has been rarely mentioned in the 2012 campaign. Polls suggest that Romney and Obama are in a close race, so it has been Romney who stepped up to speak on how Obama is handling Libya and the instability in Iraq, labeling Obama weak on the Middle East. In 2008 President Obama vowed to end the war in Iraq and was a major factor in why he was elected, the President is reminding Americans he made good on the promise and says if Romney were president, US troops would still be there. But a renewed focus on Iraq this week shows that it will be more than just an applause line for Obama for the campaign's duration. Both campaigns think they can score points by using Iraq as a key indictment of their opponent's larger foreign policy.
