Apple celebrates their win in court over Samsung by continuing the battle. After winning their patent war over Samsung, Apple is now kicking the conquered Samsung by calling for a ban on Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
Now Apple is taking their win over Samsung to the next step
A federal jury found in favor of Apple, pronouncing Samsung guilty of patent rights owned by Apple Inc., recommending to the judge that Samsung should pay over 1.05 billion dollars in damages. On the tails of the verdict Apple is requesting that Samsung remove several of their products from being sold.
Based on the win, a list of eight Samsung smartphone products have been submitted to the court by Apple requesting that they be banned, claiming that Samsung copied their iPhone and iPad when designing the products.
Surprisingly, the very popular Samsung Galaxy III is not part of the requested phones to be banned. The eight products that Apple wants banned are the Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S2 (AT&T), Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile), Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and the Galaxy Prevail.
Samsung is standing tall and fighting back
As Apple shines in its win Samsung is planning on continuing the battle in the courts, taking it to the U.S. Supreme Court if need be. If Samsung cannot get the verdict against them to be tossed out by the trial judge then they plan on heading to court in Washington D.C. to appeal the verdict.
This could just be the beginning of the battle between Apple and Android
Apple could be planning on battling against other Android phone manufacturers such as LG and HTC. Perhaps Google seems to have been strategizing by buying up many patents in order to gain power over Apple's stronghold on the industry.
Apple could be taking a bite out of itself with this war
Wars traditionally bring about new technology. Unfortunate war times have brought new innovations and industry that benefit the world's lifestyles. Out of this battle with Apple and Samsung, perhaps new Androids will be developed and created that will give the world even more assistance beyond what Apple has offered, changing lifestyles for the better.
Microsoft is ready, willing, and perhaps able to take advantage of coming out on top as Apple and Android fight it out. According to Microsoft "from touch to type, office to living room, from your screen to the big screen, you can see more, share more, and do more with Surface". The versatility of Microsoft's Surface would seem to be a new rival for both Apple and Android to watch closely.
As Apple continues to bite its way to the top, Samsung and others are preparing to battle the core of the war, the invention of the smartphone technologies. The fruits of technology will forever be tossed back and forth whether by companies, industry, or governments. Sweeter fruits will be produced from these wars producing fresh new crops for all to enjoy, forever changing people's lifestyles.
