| Chicago police are investigating rising South Side star Chief Keef over the murder of Lil Jojo. The teen rapper was gunned down amidst a raging Englewood gang conflict, though Keef appeared to mock his death on Twitter. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Joseph Coleman, known as Lil JoJo in the rap world, was gunned down near 69th and Princeton on Tuesday (September 4, 2012), about a block from where Jennifer Hudson grew up (and where her family was murdered in 2008). Witnesses said Coleman, 18, was standing on the back of a bike when a car pulled up and someone fired six of seven shots at him. He was hit in the back before running to a nearby house, where he later died. One witness said the shots came from a tan colored four-door Ford Taurus that was "riding low in the back". Police have since turned their attention to Chief Keef's Twitter account, on which a message was posted just hours after the murder, reading, "Its Sad Cuz Dat N---- Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us LMAO". The message prompted an angry response from Keef's 224000 Twitter followers, though he later claimed he had been hacked. His manager Rovan Manuel said he was unaware of the controversy, though claimed his rapper had beef with JoJo because "that kid made songs like Keef", adding, "A lot of the stuff Keef does, that's just cause he's a kid.People forget that he's a kid, a teenager . and kids make mistakes.
