A family of four died after a rollover Saturday on Interstate 90, just west of the junction of Interstate 29 and northwest of Sioux Falls, according to law enforcement. Emergency crews were called in at 5:16 pm Saturday with a report of a vehicle that had crashed and was under a bridge, said South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper Kristoff DeKramer. The passenger in the front seat and two juveniles in the back seat of a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac were dead at the scene, and the driver died after being transported to Sanford Health in serious condition via helicopter, according to a news release from the Department of Public Safety and trooper Steve Schade. The truck was eastbound and crashed into the median between the two lanes of traffic where a bridge goes over a steep ditch that has a dry creek bed, said Dan Larson, assistant fire chief in Crooks. He was among the emergency personnel who responded to the accident.
