A 37-year-old man was shot to death in the Austin neighborhood Friday night, police said.
He was shot near Menard Avenue and Thomas Street about 7:45 p.m. and pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Additional details about the homicide weren't immediately available.
Three other men were shot on the South Side in separate incidents Friday afternoon, police said.
A 28-year-old man was shot about 4:45 p.m. in the 9600 block of South Peoria Street in the Brainerd neighborhood. He's in good condition with a wound to his right ankle, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
About 4:30 p.m. a 28-year-old man was shot in the right leg near 79th and State streets in the Chatham neighborhood and walked into St. Bernard Hospital with the wound. He too is in good condition.
Another man, 30, was shot about 2 p.m. at 57th and Throop streets in the Englewood neighborhood. He is in stable condition at St. Bernard Hospital.
