DNA was found Underneath her fingernails On cords around her neck And throughout her car That profiles a male who is someone Different than the two fishermen Whom police accused Based on 4 mixtures of incomplete DNA from the car That originated from at least one other contributor In addition to each of the fishermen. Was it a DNA cross contamination error? A polygraph (lie detector) test Showed the first fisherman to be innocent. When the second fisherman asked to take a polygraph, Police refused, saying they had already tried that . . . . . . and that didn't work out for them. The first fisherman died before his trial. The second fisherman turned down a plea deal of 8 years in prison . . . Because he says he is innocent. In 2011, the second fisherman was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
