TV9 News: Rajesh Gundu Rao Dies of Brain Haemorrhage........, BANGALORE: "There's still enough time for me to make a contribution through meaningful cinema.'' That's what Rajesh Gundu Rao told mediapersons after staging a comeback to the Kannada film industry after two decades. Less than a month later, Rajesh, 41, and son of former chief minister R Gundu Rao died at Manipal Hospital on Thursday. Rajesh was admitted to the hospital on August 27 after a brain haemorrrhage and had slipped into a coma from which he didn't recover. After acting in two Kannada films, 'Hoovu Hannu' and 'Samara', under the screen name Ajay, he made a comeback as producer of a Kannada-English film 'Bangalore Calling', which tracks a group of youths who come to Bangalore from a village and get addicted to city life. Rajesh resigned from the JD(S) early this year after Madhu Bangarappa was made the party's state youth president. Rajesh is survived by his wife, a 9-year-old daughter, mother and two brothers, including Congress MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao. | From: tv9kannadanews Views: 6 0 ratings | |
