	Kohanga Reo stalwart dies A driving force behind the Kohanga Reo movement, Jean Puketapu has passed away. Jean and husband Kara Puketapu helped established the country's first Kohanga reo, Pukeatua, in Wainuiomata. It celebrated its 30th birthday in April.
