President Obama Nominates John Kerry To Replace Hillary Clinton - Secretary of State

This is President Barack Obama's announcement that he has nominated John Kerry as the replacement for Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. John Kerry has had a long career, beginning as an army officer in Vietnam, then a very controversial anti-war protester, infamous for throwing away his medals, then as US Senator from Massachusetts married to the heiress of the Heinz fortune, and a Democratic presidential candidate against George Bush. Kerry will serve during Obama's second term. VP Joe Biden also attended the nomination announcement.
