OAKLAND - A 21-year-old woman was killed and a 14-year-old boy wounded Saturday night in a shooting at an East Oakland apartment complex, police said.

The name of the woman was not released pending notification of family. Police did not release name of the boy, who is critical but stable condition at a hospital.

The shooting happened about 9:37 p.m. Saturday at an an apartment complex in the 1900 block of 85th Avenue.

Police said Sunday the woman had been visiting people there when a dispute of some kind happened with a man who had approached them.

The woman and boy were shot. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were trying to determine if the victims knew the gunman and what the motive was for the shooting. No arrests have been made.

Police Sunday were also investigating two other shootings that happened Saturday night and early Sunday.

At 2:59 a.m. Sunday a man was shot in the 300 block of 14th Street in downtown by a gunman who fled in a car. The victim was in stable condition at a hospital. Police don't have a motive yet for the shooting.

At 9:21 p.m. Saturday two people were shot in the 1800 block of West Street in West Oakland. The victims got rides to a hospital where they were in stable condition. The motive for the shooting is not known and no arrests have been made.

The 14-year-old boy shot Saturday night was the third child to be wounded by gunfire in Oakland since Friday

night.

A 7-year-old boy was grazed in the neck about 8 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Sycamore Street in West Oakland in a shooting that also claimed the life of a 46-year-old man. The boy was in stable condition.

A 12-year-old girl was shot through the neck about 3:30 a.m. Saturday after a gunman shot into her house in the 2300 block of Church Street in East Oakland. She is in stable condition.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $15,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the two fatal shootings and up to $5,000 in the shooting of the 12-year-old and the ones on 14th Street and West Street.
