Let's tote up the casualties of Obama's illegal Libyan war. There's Ambassador Stevens and two Navy SEALS. There are the women and men being tortured and murdered by Islamists in Mali. And now those missiles from Libya are headed to Israel.
Terrorists in Hamas-controlled Gaza last week fired a missile, smuggled from Libya, at an Israeli aircraft but missed it, the Hebrew-language newspaper Yediot Aharonot reported Tuesday. The missile was aimed at an IAF helicopter.
Last Friday, unidentified terrorists reportedly fired a Russian made Strela-2 missile, one of many that have been smuggled into Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula since the fall of Muammar Qaddafi earlier this year. Intelligence officials estimate that approximately 1,000 of the missiles are missing from the Libyan army's arsenal, and many of them found their way into the hands of terrorists in Gaza and the Sinai.
All 1,000 missiles won't make it to Israel. Some will be used against the US in Afghanistan. A few may be smuggled into the United States for domestic terrorism, or as Candy Crowley would say, acts of terror. And as incompetent as your average Islamic terrorist is, some of them will eventually kill a lot of people. And that will be Bush's fault.
Because it was Bush who decided to illegally implement regime change in Libya without planning for the aftermath. It was Bush who unleashed terrorist violence across North Africa by destabilizing Libya. It was Bush who caused thousands of missiles to be spread out into the hands of Islamists.
But don't worry, it's not all Libya. The Free Syrian Army, which we're backing up, teamed up with Al-Nusra, which is just Al Qaeda spelled backward, to seize a Syrian missile base full of SAMs. Because why stop at just 1,000?
Obama's Libyan War destabilized the security of the region and Israel's security. Obama's irresponsibility in implementing unilateral regime change in Libya is another reminder of how dangerous to Israel's security his policies are.
