All-American Towery dies

Carlisle Towery, Western Kentucky's first two-time All-American in basketball, died Sunday at his home in Marion. He was 92.
"Big Boy" Towery was Hilltopper athletics' second All-America selection, earning that honor as a junior in 1940 and repeating it as a senior in 1941.
