	Ravi Shankar, Sitar Master and Beatles Star, Dies at 92 Celebrated sitar player Ravi Shankar has died in a US hospital, aged 92.The Indian musician passed away on Tuesday at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California, where he was admitted last week after suffering breathing problems.Shankar was dubbed the "godfather of world music" by the late Beatle George Harrison, who collaborated with Shankar for the legendary 1971 benefit Concert For Bangladesh.
