36 Indians killed in Nepal's bus accident

Three dozen Indian passengers have died in a bus accident in Nepal's southern district of Nawalparasi. The bus, carrying an unspecified number of passengers, plunged into the Gandak canal near the Nepal-India border on Sunday. While 39 bodies had been recovered till the evening, 27 persons -- including ten Indians -- were rescued alive. The injured are being treated in nearby hospitals in Nepal. Rescue operations are underway, and the death toll is expected to rise.
