World War II veteran assaulted by teens in 'random' attack dies - Twitchy

KHQ-TV is reporting that a World War II veteran who was assaulted by two teens Wednesday night in North Spokane, Wash., has died of his injuries.

Police say two teens assaulted 88-year-old Delbert Belton outside the Eagles Lodge in North Spokane Wednesday night around 8pm. Belton was rushed to the hospital where he was placed in the intensive care unit but later died. Police are actively searching for two suspects. They are described to be 16-19 in age, black males & both wearing black clothing, one was wearing a black "Do-Rag" police say.

Police believe the attack on Belton, who friends say was wounded in Okinawa during the war, was a "random" event without clear motivation. Boredom, perhaps? While Jesse Jackson somewhere works up a stern frown, others aren't waiting to express their outrage.
