	31 Killed in Fire at Firecracker Factory in Sivakasi Tamil Nadu-TV9 Chennai: At least 31 people have been killed and 30 others injured in a fire at a firecracker factory in Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu. The mishap happened at the Om Cracker factory in Mudalipetti, near Sivakasi on Wednesday afternoon and authorities fear that the death toll could rise as many people have suffered severe burn injuries.Around 300 people were trapped inside the factory when the fire broke out and many of them are still unaccounted for. The factory is about 70 kms from Sivakasi.The factory had 40 rooms with several of them acting as godowns for firecrackers and chemicals.
