| Columbia's once notorious "Cocaine Godmother" was killed in Medellin Columbia on Tuesday according to police. Local reports said that 69 year old Griselda Blanco, a convicted drug trafficker, was gunned down by two assassins on motorcycles as she left a butcher shop with her pregnant daughter in law who reportedly escaped unharmed. Blanco was a pioneer in exporting cocaine to the United States in the 1970s and 80s with a route from her home city to Miami even before notorious traffickers like Pablo Escobar. She served twenty years in prison after she was convicted in the United States for drug activities and three murders.
