5 Things You Need to Know About Probating a Will? Idaho Attorney Jim Bendell Explains

www.coeurdalenetriallawyer.com Idaho probate attorney Jim Bendell tells you the 5 things you need to know when you're trying to follow through with the wishes of a loved one and execute their will. A loved one of yours dies and you need to send their will through probate. This means taking the will to court and getting it approved. There are some things you need to know to make sure this process goes smoothly. First, the will should be properly signed and witnessed to be a valid will. The court then supervises the process and distributes out the assets of the will and accounts for any debts. You will need to file the will in the appropriate court, in the appropriate county. If the loved one had assets in other counties or states, probate must be completed there as well. Finally, you must file the will in a timely manner. Probate law requires you file it within a certain amount of time after the party has died. Watch the video now to learn more.
