Megan Boken Reward Stands at $10000

A reward is now being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the weekend murder of a former Saint Louis University volleyball player. Jim Whyte with the Neighborhood Security Initiative in the Central West End, said at a news conference Monday afternoon commissioners of the NSI and the Special Business Districts are pledging $10000 to CrimeStoppers to gather more information and identify the person responsible for the murder of 23-year-old Megan Boken. Boken was killed Saturday around 2:30 pm at the intersection of Maryland and N. Taylor. She was in her car when she was fatally shot in the neck. Police describe the suspect as a black male with a medium complexion, standing 5'8" to 5'10" with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a grey charcoal shirt, khaki pants, and white tennis shoes. Police do not believe Boken knew the shooter and are investigating the case as an attempted robbery.
