Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi addressed the nation on Thursday evening calling for the violence to stop and accusing foreign-funded opposition of destabilizing the situation in the country. The speech failed to achieve its desired result, as people refused to leave Cairo's streets and continued the anti-Morsi rallies. Several thousand protesters stormed the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters and set the building on fire. The clashes between supporters and opponents of Morsi erupted on Tuesday in Egypt's capital.
