	British Tourist Killed In Australia Crash British Tourist Killed In Australia Crash A British tourist who had just landed at Perth airport in Western Australia was killed when the taxi in which he was travelling was hit by a stolen vehicle. The cab driver also died in the crash involving a 4x4 that had earlier been involved in a police pursuit. The collision in Perth's eastern suburbs happened in the early hours of Friday. After police earlier tried to stop the vehicle, the chase was aborted. A police helicopter was covertly monitoring the vehicle as it crashed into the taxi. The 4x4 driver was taken to hospital with leg injuries. Local reports said the victims, a 28-year-old taxi driver and his 36-year-old passenger who had just arrived from England, both died at the scene. "I want to emphasise that there is no evidence at this time to suggest the vehicle was being pursued at the time of the crash," Assistant Commissioner Gary Budge told reporters. "The pursuit was aborted a long, long way from where the crash occurred." The 23-year-old man who is alleged to have been driving the stolen 4x4 is under police guard and has been charged with manslaughter.
