A soldier's love story

Lt. Leehan, of Moore, was killed during combat operations in Afghanistan on Sunday, according to the Department of Defense. He worked at Integris Southwest Medical Center and leaves behind a wife and two young children. He graduated from Edmond North High School, said Oklahoma National Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Max Moss. Lt. Leehan, a platoon leader with Company A, 1st Battalion, 179 Infantry Regiment of the Edmond-based 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, was killed when a military vehicle he was riding in struck an improvised explosive device, according to the Department of Defense. His unit was conducting operations in the Alingar District of Laghman Province at the time. Lt. Leehan is survived by his wife Audrey, and two children, Emma, 4, and Ethan, 1, according to the statement. City officials asked citizens to keep the Leehan family in their thoughts and prayers during the coming days and weeks.
