Broadcast Date: Tuesday 6 October 2009 (BBC/UK). www.sjf.wigan.sch.uk "Pupils hailed as heroes Two Year 11 pupils, Brian Cashin and Martin Keating, were hailed as heroes for their quick actions on Monday when the bus on which they were travelling home crashed when the driver collapsed at the wheel. Brian activated the emergency door release and the two lads escorted the passengers off the bus. Just as the last passenger alighted, the bus reversed back and crashed into bollards. The boys appeared in a live interview on BBC Look North West and their actions are to be lauded in a school assembly which will be attended by the boys' families and Rock FM.
