Vilasrao Deshmukh Dies - Riteish Deshmukh's Father Dies

	Vilasrao Deshmukh Dies - Riteish Deshmukh's Father Dies Union Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh and father of Riteish Deshmukh, passed away in Chennai on the afternoon of Tuesday, 14th August. He was brought to the city by air ambulance on August 6 on ventilator support. Hospital authorities had said Mr. Deshmukh was admitted for a liver-related ailment to Global Hospitals and Health City in Perumbakkam. Hospital authorities said earlier in the week that they were considering a liver transplant, provided his condition improved. A team of doctors of several specialities, including noted liver transplant surgeon Dr. Mohamed Rela, have been attending on Mr. Deshmukh. Mr. Deshmukh, Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences is a former two-term Chief Minister of Maharashtra and hails from Lattur. He is currently a memeber of the Rajya Sabha.
