Written by City News Service - A tow truck driver helping a disabled motorist was killed by an allegedly drunken motorist on the San Diego (405) Freeway, California Highway Patrol officers said. The CHP identified the tow truck driver as Faapuna Manu, but listed no place of residence. The Coroner's Office was processing the case and did not release identification early today. Manu's family stepped forward to identify him early today. The crash was in a painted shoulder at the northbound onramp from Orange Avenue at about 2 am, according to a department statement. The tow truck driver was fixing a tire for a disabled Mercedes Benz when Raymond Burley, at the wheel of a 2005 Toyota, drove into the Mercedes and the tow truck driver, according to the statement.
