4 People Killed In Aurora Colorado Townhouse Shooting GUNMAN Killed By Officers A stand-off in Aurora ended "peacefully" this morning when a man surrendered to police and a 2-year-old child was unharmed. "We made an arrest and the child is OK," said Sgt. Cassidee Carlson, an Aurora Police Department spokeswoman. Police were called at about 2:45 am to an apartment complex on East Kansas Drive, near East Mississippi Avenue and South Peoria Street, on a domestic violence report, Carlson said. When police arrived they were told that a suspect was inside a home with a 2-year-old and there were possibly weapons inside. The man did not respond to telephone calls from police or other attempts to contact him, including the use of a bullhorn. "I got pretty scared," Bozeman said. Bozeman said police told her: "There is a situation in the building and we need everyone out." At about 6:30 am police entered the apartment and the man surrendered. The child was found to be unharmed, Carlson said. "We had a peaceful resolution," Carlson said.
