Cameron condemns UN 'inaction on Syria' with George Galloway

British Prime Minister David Cameron has launched a bitter attack on the UN over what he said was 'inaction on Syria' during his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York. The real targets of the speech were Russia and China which have refused to agree tough new resolutions condemning the government of Bashar al-Assad. This came shortly after two massive explosions targeting the Syrian military command center in Damascus killed at least four people and injured dozens of others. Press TV's reporter, Maya Naser, was also killed by rebels' sniper fire during the deadly incident. Meanwhile, market jitters over Europe's debt crisis returned after weeks of relative calm, sparkling mass protests in Greece and Spain. Both countries are dependent on bailouts from the European Union, the European Central Bank and the IMF that are conditional on further savage cuts hitting ordinary and poor people. Last week, George Galloway attended a press conference in the House of Commons about the secret courts that the British government has set up for torturing and extraditing.
