Yash Chopra, 27 September 1932 -- 21 October 2012, had to be one of the biggest names to have ever come out of the Indian film industry, with a huge number of mega hits and blockbusters spanning nearly four decades. In many ways, it was Yash Chopra who was responsible for establishing the careers of legends like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salim-Javed and so on. Not only that, it was indeed Yash Chopra who was responsible for making scenic locales like Interlaken in Switzerland or the tulip gardens and fields of Holland - or indeed just about every nook and corner of cities like London, just so popular and known to any and every Indian film buff. Films like Silsila, Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie, Trishul, Chandni, Lamhe, Dil to Paagal Hai, Veer Zaara, and the upcoming Jab Tak Hai Jaan will surely remain with us forever! This is a video shot right outside Yash Raj Studios, on the morning of 22 October 2012, the day after Yash Chopra died, as stalwarts from across the Indian - essentially the Hindi film industry, came to pay their final tributes to this absolute legend of a man. May his soul rest in eternal peace and we get to relish his epic creations, for much longer than his own lifetime. Thank you Yash Ji - and Thank you Yash Raj Films for all the wonderful creations you gave us over all these years. | From: VikramTravelsIndia Views: 870 5 ratings | |
