In other news; almost ten-thousand people over the age of seventy-five in Scotland will spend Christmas day on their own. A new report from the WRVS charity claims many elderly Scots are isolated and alone and feel abandoned by families too busy to care. In local news; Police are keen to trace a man in a mustard-coloured jacket who was seen in the area where an Edinburgh father was knocked down and killed on the pavement. Forty-three year-old Gavin Fulton was hit on Dundas Street in the early hours of Saturday. A fifty year-old man has appeared in court in connection with the incident. Also in sport; Hearts are confident their players will be paid in full and on time this month meaning they will be free to sign players in the January transfer window.
